In order for our Adult Day Health Care center to be successful, we will offer essential services to distinguish the center from all other types of ADHC programs in Louisville, KY.
Skilled Nursing
Medication administration and management (oral, topical, injection)
• Tracheostomy care
• Nutrition education and counselling
• Nebulizer and oxygen therapy
• Vital signs and weight monitoring
• Diabetic monitoring and intervention
• Tube feeding care
Personal Care
Help clients achieve and maintain good personal hygiene including assistance with feeding, toileting, bathing, shaving, cleaning of mouth and teeth, cleaning and cutting of fingernails, washing, and grooming.
• Assisted mobilization and transfers
• Prevention of fall
• Prevention of stasis injury
Physical Therapy
Provided by a physical therapist who is qualified and appropriately licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as established in 902 KAR 20:066.
• Focus on improving functional mobility following accidents and medical setbacks, such as a fall, a stroke, a broken bone or a surgical procedure.
Occupational Therapy
Provided by an occupational therapist who is qualified and appropriately licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as established in 902 KAR 20:066.
Focus on improving functional performance of the disabled and improving the occupational performance in selfcare and daily task of elderly adults
Speech Therapy
Provided by speech pathologist who is qualified and appropriately licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as established in 902 KAR 20:066.
Focus on feeding modifications for clients with difficulty swallowing through special diets, hydration and feeding techniques
Therapeutic activities
Physical activities that will focus on daily exercise, stretching, strengthening and balance, indoor/outdoor walking, mobility training, range of motion therapy which will improve mobility and help individuals accomplish daily tasks with greater ease.
